Matthew Sleeth, MD – Executive Director
A former emergency room physician, Dr. Matthew Sleeth resigned from his position as chief of the medical staff and director of the ER to teach, preach, and write from a biblical worldview. Since founding Blessed Earth, he has spoken at more than 1,000 churches and schools throughout the country. Dr. Sleeth is a graduate of George Washington University School of Medicine and has two postdoctoral fellowships. He is the author of many books and articles, including 24/6, Reforesting Faith, and Hope Always.

Nancy Sleeth – Managing Director
Nancy is a graduate of Georgetown University and holds a masters degree in journalism. She is the author of Almost Amish: One Woman’s Quest for a Slower, Simpler, More Sustainable Life and Go Green, Save Green, the first-ever practical guide for going green from a faith perspective. Prior to co-founding Blessed Earth, Nancy served as communications director for a Fortune 500 company and as an educator and administrator, most recently at Asbury University Nancy and Matthew Sleeth have been married for more than 40 years. They live in Lexington, KY, near their grown children and four grandchildren.

Jacqueline Henderson – Office & Media Manager
Jacqueline and her husband, Luke, live in Lexington, Kentucky. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Science with an emphasis in Horticulture from the University of Kentucky. Following graduation, she began serving as the office manager for Blessed Earth.

Jennie Nelson- Event Coordinator
Jennie graduated from Asbury College in English Education and from the University of Louisville in Counseling Psychology. After a decade of Secondary Education work, Jennie started new chapters caring for families through foster care & Blessed Earth. Jennie & her husband, Noah, live on a fish farm with their son, pup, & whomever God brings through their door.

EMERITUS BOARD MEMBER- Dr. J. Ellsworth Kalas (1923-2015)
Dr. Kalas is a former president of Asbury Theological Seminary. He was instrumental in integrating geothermal heating and cooling, super insulation, bamboo floors, and other sustainable building practices throughout the new family student housing village at the seminary. The housing village is named in his honor. Dr. Kalas was also the author of the book, All Creation Sings: The Voice of God in Nature.

Heather Marra
Heather Marra, PT, MPT, PRPC, PCES is the founder of One Simple Step, LLC. A physical therapist, Heather is passionate about teaching about women's health and lifestyle medicine, including Sabbath. Heather earned her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from Southwest Baptist University and is the author of Connecting With Your Body Throughout Pregnancy. Heather has been married to Pete Marra for 20 years. Their life is full as they raise their teenage children on a small Kentucky farm.

Jeremiah Sizemore
Jeremiah Sizemore is a Lexington, Kentucky-based entrepreneur. A graduate of Samford University, Jeremiah owns a number of businesses, including Vinaigrette, Orange Leaf, Activate, and Breakout Games. Jeremiah and his beloved wife Sarah have been married for nearly two decades; their greatest joy is seeing the Lord working in and through the lives of each of their four amazing kids and stewarding God's blessings to advance the Kingdom.

John has been an active advisor and generous supporter of Blessed Earth since its inception. With his extensive church leadership, youth pastoring, and business background, Dr. Spicer brings an invaluable skill set to his leadership role as Board President.
